今天 和 老公 到 肥肥海鮮船 吃晚飯，剛好有現場 Live Band 可接受點歌，我馬上點了兩首歌，Sixpence None The Richer － Kiss me 以及 ABBA － I do! i do! i do! i do! i do!，後來竟然有唱到 Kiss me 這首歌，今我們當下興奮不已。

Sixpence None The Richer 在1999年推出歌曲 Kiss me，配合著當年一部校園青春電影 She's All that 上映，最後當男主角 Zach 與女主角 Laney 在家中跳舞時搭配這首歌曲，聽過的莫不覺得真是太配合劇中的劇情，而且那清新溫馨的滋味更讓人聽完久久不能忘懷。這首歌在推出後曾經成為英國皇室婚禮時的播放曲，每到情人佳節時更是相當受歡迎的歌曲。

Sixpence None The Richer 這個團名出自於 C.S. Lewis 的一本書「Mere Chridtianity」，當 Matt Slocum 是大學新鮮人的時候組了這個樂團，當時他很迷 C.S. Lewis 的作品，其中有一個故事是描寫一個小男孩，他為了買一個禮物給父親，向父親要了六便士，於是父親給了小孩六便士。這父親很喜歡孩子買給他的禮物，雖然他沒有什麼錢，但是他還是將孩子的要求放在第一...。

Matt Slocum (吉他手/大提琴手) 說：「在做音樂時，我們可以想像自己是上帝給予這世界的禮物，但實際上，是上帝給我們一些禮物，讓我們做想做的事，像是創作音樂等。對於我們的樂團而言，我認為這是一個很棒的人生觀，我們要瞭解，我們之所以能做音樂，完全是上天的賞賜，要心存謙卑。」

由團名的故事可以很清楚瞭解，其實 Sixpence None The Richer是個福音樂團，而且鼎鼎大名的 Kiss me 還是福音歌，整張專輯就是很明亮，充滿了愛與光明，尤其是 Kiss me 這首，一砲而紅，大家說到 Sixpence None The Richer 就會想到這首經典之作。 現在，雖然解散了，但是甜美聲腔的女主唱 Leigh Nash 早就以個人名義參與各種計畫，往後也會發行個人專輯。另一位樂團創作靈魂 Matt Slocum 會另外組團，繼續「為主贏得這個世代」。
